Hydrogen production increase at US and Canadian refineries

In recent years, producers of hydrogen have invested heavily in new capacity to feed the increasing demands of petroleum refiners across the United States and Canada, as they prepare to meet increasingly stricter low-sulfur fuel environmental standards. Within the last two years, Industrialinfo.com has reported dozens of hydrogen projects now under construction and is, at the present time, still tracking twenty projects planned to begin construction this year. Some of these projects could bring new capacity online as soon as late summer 2005.
